Tough on Institutions, not Individuals:

By focusing on individual ethics, institutions evade critique; the only levers of power that appear accessible are individual-scale choices, such as consumer purchases—or, for students entering the workforce, job choices.

Education under Siege

While the current onslaught against Gaza is unprecedented in its unrestrained use of force against and targeting of the civilian population, the attack on education and learning by Israel is nothing new. 

Even the Seas are Caged

Despite a vibrant ecological and environmental science community in Palestine, that development is both overshadowed by the research and development scene of Israel, as well as demolition of entire research and education sites in Gaza

Letter From The Editors

Science and technology have enabled atrocities throughout history, such as the ones we see being carried out in Palestine right now. These fields of work are a core part of the military industrial complex which grows ever more deadly.
